Scott Nelson leads all aspects of Panera Bread’s brand marketing, including brand communications, digital, social media, in-café point-of-purchase, brand design, partnerships, influencer, and product test marketing. Before joining Panera, Nelson was the Head of North America at Viber, a mobile messaging app platform, where he managed operations and marketing and led the brand to nearly double its user size. Nelson founded and advised companies including Cubiq.me, HipDaddy.com, Ourstage.com, and Maverick, a brand consultancy firm that advised clients such as KEDS, Sperry and MIT start-up, edX. As the Global Director of Brand Communications at Converse, he was responsible for the brand's global advertising and led marketing efforts for music- and entertainment-related initiatives. His previous experience also includes roles at TBWA Chiat Day and Modernista!, where he managed advertising for brands including adidas, Anheuser Busch, Disney, and Fox Sports.
